As strange and unfortunate as it seemed,
Joseph fell towards the woods, as if beamed.
Landing hard, his body crashed to the ground,
Causing curious creatures to look ‘round
At all the trees, and bushes they called home.
The boy, who was much larger than a gnome,
Had long legs, and dark hair that seemed a mess.
The animals were wary, they confess
To see if such a strange lad was alright,
Since his body seemed to fall from the night.
What was it that they were supposed to do?
When it came to first aid, nobody knew.
“Oh dear,” said a doe. “Do you think he’s dead?”
“Maybe,” cooed a bird. “He fell on his head.”
“Oh no, man,” yelled a squirrel, “We’ve got to go!
We’ll just hide the body! No one will know!”
“That’s not a good idea,” said the brown bear.
“Could you just leave him there? Do you not care?”
“No I don’t,” fought the squirrel, “I can’t get caught,
I’m on parole for those nuts that I bought!”
As the animals fought in the dark night,
The boy began to awake to their fight.
With mind cloudy with fuzz, he felt okay.
Joseph knew he would live another day.
As he glanced above to witness the mob,
He was shocked to find to two fairies above.
“Well look who’s alive,” the green fairy cried.
“I’d bet some good money that you had died.”
The blue fairy frowned, and elbowed her friend.
While fairies were mean, they had to pretend.
“Don’t listen to her,” the blue fairy cooed,
“She’s socially awkward and stupid too.”
“Sure,” mumbled Joseph, too tired to care.
Confused, he watched them descend from the air
“But where am?” he asked “And who are you?”
“You’re in Backwoods” she said. “We thought you knew.”
“Knew what? Where I am? Of course I do not!
I fell from the sky incase you forgot!”
“Oh yes, that’s right, there’s no need to be fresh
Go find a spring, to relax and refresh!”
Joseph refused, so the Fairies explained
How nobody else escaped from the plane.
The young boy looked up, completely aghast
Wondering what could have caused such a blast.
“Some Blast,” said the girls, “Maybe worse than that.
We think it’s from the aerial combat.”
“Combat? From where? You people have wars?”
“Of course silly boy, we have wars galore!
Wherever there are people, there are fights,
And they end all the same, nobody’s right.
But now that should change, Mr. Prophecy.”
“What prophecy?” he asked. “What do you mean?”
“The prophecy that the oracle told,
About the kind of future you hold.”
And with that said, they took out a scroll,
Which he quickly began to unroll.
It spoke of the war he was supposed to end,
His journey and how to go home again.
He read the directions, through and though
Trying to figure out what he could do.
“To go to the home in which you seek,
You must save the princess from the peak.
A dimwit knight with long flowing hair
Can be the only one to take you there.
After battle you must return her to
Impatient royalty who wait for you.
But as always you, sir, should wary,
For the callous queen is rather scary.
And only royalty can send you back.
However you shouldn’t be quick to pack,
Because this ruthless queen is well known
For never sending anyone home.”
The strange, ill-fated boy looked up with dread,
While the fairies smiled, nodding their heads.
“Forget it,” he said, rolling the up scroll.
“I’m only one guy, I have no control.”
“Too bad, you’re going. Get ready to leave.
You’ve got a lot of peace you need to achieve.”
Gracefully the fairies each took an arm,
Though he tried to resist, they were quite strong.
They dragged him towards a path, against his will,
And dump his body on top of a hill.
“No way. Nah Uh. I’m sitting right here.
Find a new hero to persevere.”
The girls exchanged looks and took for the woods,
And soon returned with a bag used for goods.
The bag shook and quaked, and out from the top,
Popped a bunny’s white ears that flip-flopped.
Linked to those ears, was a little white head
And big, scared eyes that look so filled with dread.
“Where am I?” the bunny asked from his bag.
“And why was I kidnapped by these two hags?”
“We’re not hags,” the fairies yelled. “We’re magic!”
“I don’t care what you are, magic-smagic!
I want to go back to my nice, warm home!
I’m rabid, I tell you! I foam! I foam!”
As the rabbit began to groan and hiss,
Joseph saw the fairies start to grow pissed.
“No you’re not rabid, now listen to us!
You’re Joseph’s guard, so don’t make a fuss!”
The bunny, with his big soulful, sad eyes
Looked up at Joseph as if to ask why.
And poor Joseph knew how the bunny felt,
But couldn’t say a thing he thought could help.
Instead he looked towards the long, windy road.
Why was it was his plane that had to explode?!

Seems it never ends, Double nickels on your dime
I thought we were friends, i guess it just depends who you ask
These feelings tend to leave me with a hole in my chest
Woah....a hole in my chest
Now the time has come i just wish i could erase
All the damage done to your name and your keepsakes
Its only just begun, its been fun, we were blind deaf and dumb
Theres a body in my closet calling all skeletons
All Skeletons.....Calling All
Where did you go?
Once the lights went black
Look whats become of me
Ive come to love your disapeering act
do one more pretty please
Now the time has come i just wish i could erase
Saw the damage done, all this pain, all this heartache
Its only just begun, its been fun, we were f**ked up and numb
Theres a killer on the corner and he's looking for love
he's....Looking for love
Yeah he's looking for love (you my love)
Where did you go?
Once the lights went black
look whats become of me
Ive come to love your disapeering act
do one more pretty please
And to tell you the truth i lost my faith in you
You gotta stop sneaking up on me
And these unspoken Lies appear at the worst times
You Gotta stop sneaking up on me
Theyre hiding just beyond your eyes
Where did you go?
Once the lights went black
look whats become of me
Ive come to love your disapeering act
do one more pretty please

I am a very strong believer that a story does not have to be "dark" to be "good". I believe some of the best works of literature are those that are able to accomplish "happily ever after" when it seems impossible. Call me a baby or simply immature, but I rather read a fanfiction that's able to have the characters happy in the end than sad. The main reason is because we all have to live with the harsh realities of life everyday...I really rather not read about them as well.
Keep in touch, read my updates, be friends...you know the whole social thing.
